Snowflake, Arizona
Snowflake is a small town which was originally a
Mormon settlement,
named after Mr. Snow and Mr. Flake.
The town has brick houses and flowers, as if it was
somewhere in New England.
The MCS/EHS community is well served by the AmeliaÕs
Garden restaurant and health food store.
The annual Pioneer Days feature several historic
entries.
Ranching is still important in the area.
The area is famous for its sunflowers.
The nearby town of Show Low was named after the
card game that gave it a new owner.
Today it offers a hospital and many big-box stores.
Hiking in the Silver Creek canyon.
